Checklist Translations: 1991 Chinese Professional Baseball League

     For the 1991 season, the official CPBL set was expanded to 103 cards (which seems a very odd number for a set), and were still issued on plastic with rounded corners, slightly smaller than the standard size.

     The card fronts have borders matching the teams' primary color, and as seems standard for almost all non-American cards, the players' uniform numbers are displayed prominently:

 

And the backs are slightly different from the previous year, having a gold color to them:

     Thanks to the assistance of my favorite new reader, Ralph, the 1991 checklist is now complete.  And to go along with this, I am going to need to research the apparent change in the accepted spelling protocols on representing Chinese names in English.  More recent translations tend toward using the letter X in place of SH and Q in place of CH (but just sometimes).  I've got sort of a mixture here as Ralph's translation is from the early 1990s, and the names I'd already filled in are from more recent web resources.  I intend to revise names where appropriate or where corrections are presented.
