  1. Baseball Cards Magazine was an important magazine in the hobby's history. It was the first magazine about collecting cards to be on the newsstands. It lasted in various forms about 20 years I think. It spawned interesting "replicards" inserted in the magazine as well. Some of the early-mid 1980's issues included articles by a young collector named Keith Olbermann, who would achieve fame elsewhere. His articles in 1986 proofs added a lot of knowledge about these rare cards to the hobby.
